Professor Jamie Ballard is the head instructor of Gracie Barra Newcastle. With more then 10 years of teaching experience, he is a primary example of a man who is fully dedicating his life to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Gracie Barra and its members.
Jamie holds numerous titles in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, submission Fighting and Mixed martial Arts. Of most merit was in 2007 when Jamie represented Australia at ADCC Submission Fighting competition in USA.
Jamie has a professional mixed martial arts record of 2-2-0. This includes wins over Stephen Gillinder and Kenichi Matsuo and losses to Daniel Lima and Kyotaro Nakao. Jamie was actively fighting between 2001 and 2004 but in recent years has been concentrating his efforts on training MMA fighters.
This outstanding background qualifies him as one of the best coaches and lightweight competitors on the Australian scene.
Justin is an accomplished mixed martial arts fighter and has a Brown belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. He has a professional mixed martial arts record of 5-1-1 and the holds the Warriors Realm and XFC welterweight titles.
Adrian has a Brown belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and is an assistant instructor at the Academy.
Rod is an accomplished muay thai kickboxer and has a Blue belt in Brazillian Jiu Jitsu.
